Security starts before signing.

Before an approval is requested, Optimism Wallet presents the asset, the amount, the recipient address and the network in a single review view. Nothing is signed until that review is confirmed.

The active network is displayed in the interface at all times. Optimism Wallet is centered on OP Mainnet, chain ID 10, with ETH as the native currency.

Connections use standard EVM interfaces exposed by a compatible wallet. This website does not include a field for entering a seed phrase, recovery phrase or private key.

Each release publishes a SHA-256 checksum and a PGP fingerprint. Compare the checksum of the file you downloaded with the published value, and check the PGP fingerprint against the one shown below before installing.

Download only from optimismwallet.org, verify the checksum before installing, review every transaction detail before approving, and treat any request for a recovery phrase as fraudulent.
